About Kate

Kate started out in Chicago theatre, where she was one of the founders of Seanachai Theatre Company (now Irish Theatre of Chicago) and performed in numerous non-Equity and Equity productions. Now living in Los Angeles, she’s had roles on Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, Parks and Recreation, Big Love, and Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous in addition to doing commercial and voice-over work.  She recently performed as a storyteller in front of an audience of 400 as part of KPCC’s “Unheard LA” series, and has had a personal essay published in the Washington Post’s “Solo-ish” column.  She is an open-water swimmer, and her longest swim to date was 6 miles off the coast of Santa Barbara.
